Swimming with four limbs adds a synergistic effect, resulting in quicker responses than with other types of therapies. This form of therapy also enhances your pet’s mental well-being, while helping with arthritis, muscle soreness, spinal complications and weight management.
Aquatherapy gives a buoyancy effect allowing limbs to move with less force from gravity, reducing stress on the joints. The water is kept at a temperature of 85 to 92 degrees F, assisting the body with improved circulation and reducing pain.
“Swim Therapy in the warm pool helps me feel better with my extreme hip dysplasia in both hips. It also helps me build muscle strength, so my condition does not get worse. Now I can run and play with my buddy dog at home. We are so lucky - Motiv is unique with a pool and a water treadmill. So I get to do both!” - Georgia
All therapy services are performed with the supervision of a California licensed veterinarian.
